The most amazing aspects of the Lattice Worlds lie below their surfaces. At the poles of each world, an immense shaft yawns open, and reaches down into a hollow core, where the Lattice Builders placed near-magical devices: the mystifying computers of the Control Center, the space-defying teleporters known as Teegs, and the hyper-dimensional machinery(?) of the Power Films and the Mass Generators. The vast majority of these devices remains completely shrouded in incomprehenisibilty, but human and alien alike have learned to make use of some of the technology, to their great benefit ... and occasionally, in experimenting with things beyond their ken, they have brought about instant destruction as well.
